Boston is located in the northeastern United States, on the coast of Massachusetts Bay, facing the Atlantic Ocean. The city covers about 89 square miles (232 km²) and consists of 23 neighborhoods including Back Bay, Allston, and Chinatown.

Its coastal location gives it easy access to beaches, nearby towns, and beautiful views of the harbor. It’s about a 4-hour drive from New York City and 1 hour from Providence, Rhode Island.
